Reachout America
At Reachout America, we believe that true impact starts with compassion, and compassion leads to action.
As a nonprofit on the front lines of service, we work with some of the most overlooked and underserved populations in our country: children with disabilities, veterans returning from war, and individuals experiencing homelessness. These are not just statistics; they are stories waiting for a different ending. And with your help, we can write those stories together.
1 in 6 children in the U.S. has a developmental disability.
Children with disabilities are twice as likely to live in poverty and face barriers to education, healthcare, and inclusion.
Only 17% of U.S. schools offer adequate special education services and support.
Reachout America offers inclusive programs like equine therapy, mentoring, and community arts, designed to help children with disabilities express themselves, gain confidence, and build meaningful relationships.
Every child deserves the chance to grow, thrive, and be seen, not just accommodated.
Over 37,000 veterans are homeless in the United States on any given night.
Nearly 1 in 3 veterans report symptoms of PTSD, depression, or anxiety after serving.
Many struggle with job placement, affordable housing, and access to quality mental health care.
At Reachout America, we connect veterans with therapeutic programs, job readiness training, and community service opportunities that help them reintegrate with dignity and purpose.
We believe their service shouldn’t end with war—it should be honored with real support.
Over 600,000 people are experiencing homelessness in the U.S., including families and youth.
A large portion suffer from untreated mental illness, addiction, or job loss many of which are preventable with early intervention.
On average, it costs $30,000–$50,000 per year to leave someone chronically homeless, while housing-first programs can cut that cost by half and reduce recidivism.
At Reachout America, we believe homelessness is not a character flaw, it’s a societal failure. We work directly with communities to build access to resources, offer court-ordered service programs that repair social ties, and empower people to regain control of their lives.
